Are you preparing to move out of your unit? Please ensure that all utility services are appropriately transferred or cancelled. Additionally, make sure the property is returned in a clean and orderly condition to prevent any deductions from your security deposit.

**Move-Out Requirements - (VERY IMPORTANT):**

1. **Cleaning & Condition of Unit**
   Ensure that all units are thoroughly cleaned and returned in an orderly state at the end of the tenancy.

2. **Required Standards:**
   - Remove all personal belongings
   - Properly dispose of garbage and debris
   - Clean all appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, etc.)
   - Vacuum and wash floors
   - Fully clean and sanitize bathrooms
   - Ensure walls are in reasonable condition (no excessive damage)
   - Return all keys, fobs, and remotes

**SECURITY DEPOSIT NOTICE:**
Under Alberta’s Residential Tenancies Act:
Your security deposit may be retained or deductions applied for:
- Damage beyond normal wear and tear
- Required excessive cleaning
- Removal of abandoned belongings or garbage
- Unpaid rent or utilities
- Missing keys, fobs, or remotes

⚠️ **IMPORTANT:**
If the unit is left damaged, excessively dirty, or abandoned, you risk not receiving your damage deposit back.

**Inspections (Alberta Requirement):**
Move-in and move-out inspections are legally required in Alberta.
- Inspection reports must be signed by both landlord and tenant
- Proper inspections help safeguard your deposit
- Failure to complete inspections may affect claims

**Alberta Dispute Resolution (RTDRS):**
If disputes arise regarding deposits, damages, or tenancy matters, tenants and landlords can apply through:
